My name is Kimberly Briggs.  I am now providing Neurofeedback at the Brain Training Center.  I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for the last twenty-four years.  I have been at Fairfield 112 for the last fourteen years. I live in Fairfield and attend the First Christian Church.

I completed my first master’s degree at Eastern Illinois University in Speech-Language Pathology in 1994.  I have worked in schools, hospitals, and nursing home facilities with children age three thru adults.  In 2012, I pursued my second master's in School Leadership which I completed in 2014.  Last summer 2017, I went on to complete the coursework for Director of Special Education.

I decided to pursue my training in Neurofeedback in 2015 when a friend told me about her grandson and the remarkable changes he experienced with Neurofeedback.  I was trained by Mike Cohen.  He is recognized as a leading expert in the field, teaching neurofeedback to healthcare professionals both in the United States and abroad.  He is currently in Jupiter, Florida where he co-founded The Center for Brain Training.  I now have joined Mike’s team in assisting in remote services.  I received my Board Certification in Neurofeedback from Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, formally the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA) in December 2017.  Professionals are required to meet educational, clinical, ethical, and exam criteria in order to become a certified provider of neurofeedback services.

As of March 1, 2016, I have begun my journey in private practice, at the Brain Training Center.  My goals are to help clients perform better and lessen their reliance on medications. Neurofeedback helps improve brain performance. When the brain becomes more balanced and is able to function more efficiently and effectively, a variety of symptoms naturally diminish.
